Ahhhhh…..the NC Triangle

Ok so, indulge me while I share a bit of me with you.  I’m from a small town in upstate NY.  How small, you ask? There was 1 school.  And I attended that 1 school from the first big bus ride in Kindergarten until I graduated. I made many lifelong friends and have fond memories of that small town lifestyle.Being young and naive, I thought I needed to escape the farm girl upbringing and hit the big city.  I spent time living in Atlanta and Los Angeles.  For anyone who has driven the Freeways of LA, you know that’s about as big city as you can get. Ay Yay Yay…traffic.

Of course I wised up and chose the NC Triangle (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill) as home and boy am I glad I did.  I get the best of both worlds.  For me, the size is perfect.  I might see someone I know at the grocery store, or I might find myself mingling with friendly strangers.  When it’s time to get somewhere, the  traffic usually allows me to get there, stress and traffic jam free. And when it comes to finding things to do…the options are limitless.  Last week I attended a self-defense class in Cary at Butterfly Life.  It was a great class. This weekend there’s jazz at North Hills, or a concert at the RBC center or maybe I’ll wait to see some comedy.  Here’s one source where you can find more things to do in the Triangle.  Get out and enjoy the heat this weekend.  If you don’t already know it, the Triangle is a GREAT place to live.
