About

Hi I’m Amy L. Reed and I am a full time real estate agent with a firm appreciation for hard work and balance in my life.  I believe people should mean what they say and deliver what they promise.  Some would call me a straight shooter. Some would call me direct. I prefer to be called “professional”.

I’m not fresh out of high school so I’ll give you a bit of background. I graduated from High School when I was 16 and thought I knew it all. Since then I have graduated with Honors with a Bachelors degree in Mass Communications and English Literature.

I think I planned to be like Barbara Walters. I entered the world of corporate America and spent years of my life in Information Technologies. I’ve worked on too many programs and supported too many databases to even pretend like it was fun. What I learned most from those years is that I have no desire to be Barbara and that my mind really enjoys solving challenges that others folks don’t care to deal with. In addition to my bachelor’s degrees, I hold an MBA which was part of my personal goals.

Prior to my MBA studies, I was a landlord and really enjoyed working with houses. Who knew tearing out walls could be so fun? I never lost that desire to work with real estate and became a NC Broker 4 years ago. What I’ve learned from those last years is that my passion for real estate and my deep felt belief in treating people professionally and honestly made me a perfect match for the world of full-time real estate sales.

My philosophy about real estate is that I am here to help two parties (buyer and seller) find each other and complete a transaction with a minimum of stress. I use my professional knowledge and my life experiences to help people navigate the real estate transaction process. Many people believe the process has to be adversarial. I do not. I believe it has to be conducted professionally.

So when you decide that you’d like to buy or sell a home in the Durham, Raleigh, Chapel Hill, Cary, Morrisville, Apex, Holly Springs areas, please contact me at www.amylreed.com.
